Why “Criminals” Should Have Rights, Part 15

A vile trend practiced by way too many police officers : if you’re guilty of drunk driving, you waive your constitutional protection against cruel and unusual punishment.

So because Ms. West slipped out of police officers’ handcuffs, she deserved a broken orbital bone and a swollen eye? Because Ms. Feurstein “knowingly resisted” a police officer (how, I’m not quite clear), she deserved injuries that resulted in facial reconstructive surgery?

When criminals have no rights, the answer to both questions is “yes.”
