Some Good Economic News From 2011

Dan Griswold writes on Cato-At-Liberty that trade policy did see some progress last year. President Obama signed 3 trade agreements into law that should expand exports by an estimated $12 billion. Also, during 2011, exports were up 16% and imports were up 15%.

Trade contributes to a higher standard of living, so this bit of news is welcome. In an environment of otherwise activist government policies, lets hope this trend of barrier-removing continues.
